I was wondering if others are also facing this issue? I perform water changes on my tank religiously, weekly.. I am happy with the rank however my Anubias and swords always contain a brown residue on their leaves - which I just use a 'exfoliating' glove to rub the leaves between my fingers to remove.. I wouldn't say I have an algae problem as it does not seem to be.. Just a brown residue that I remove from the leaves weekly during a water change..

Thanks in advance..

Is this tank fairly new because I faced this problem about a moth after I started my tank and it is a good thing you are rubbing it off. It will eventually go away your plants just have to grow to the point where they out compete the algae. How much gallons did you say your tank is? If you have more room you could always get some Cories. I added a few of those into my tank and the algae pretty much disappeared in a week. Hope this helped ?

Spencer, my tank is 4 years old, so it is not a new tank.. I have SAE in there as well.. So not sure what it is and why?

You may actually need to increase your lighting or stop adding so much Co2 like you should turn it off at night because you may not have enough oxygen in the tank

The light has been the same, the co2 is on a timer - and is off at night

Will get my test kit from the office tank and test.. I assume that the plants doing fine and the whole condition / clarity of the tank doesn't tempt me to test.. Will do..
