Hi folks,

Starting up my first FOWLR setup, and starting my purchases now. Is there anything different about a RO system for aquariums, or for drinking water (i.e. Kenmore or other similar products)? Also, is there anything I should beware of when purchasing a RO filter system? Anything to avoid?

Basically what I'd like to do is have a garbage can in my basement laundry room, and the RO to fill it up. Have the salt mixed in there, and the water heated... ready for water changes, and top-ups.

Thanks,
Justin

No salt water for top-ups, you'll drive your SG whacky. Remember only the H2O evaporates increasing the SG so you need to top-up with fresh water only to get back to the same SG.
