c02 Test kit

I'm looking to buy a CO2 test kit but i can't find a lfs or a online retailer that carries just a CO2 test kit. I have read where you can take your PH and KH and figure what your CO2 is in the take but i have also read that if you use any peat or a water softening pillow that this can make that chart inaccurate. Can anyone give me some guidance? I'm just a little concerned about the whole CO2 level in the take with my discus. I'm doing a diy CO2 setup and i don't want to kill the fish that is why i'm concerned.

The only "CO2 test kit" I have heard of is made by Red Sea, but I don't think it is that good.

You should really setup a drop checker with a reference kH solution. This will give you the most accurate reading on your CO2 in your tank, and is not nearly as confusing as it seems at first:
