Can fin nipping cause swim bladder disorder

Hi everyone. Sadly I lost one of my Dalmatian mollies to swim bladder disorder. Upon inspection of my remaining fish everyone seems normal except of of my platys tails looks like its been eaten which I had not noticed earlier.

My question is could eating the platys tail have cause a distention in the mollies stomach that brought about the swim bladder disorder?????

Any help and advice is welcome as this is my first casualty ???

Maybe so. My balloon belly Molly us a little
Nippy and I think he may have dropsy.
