I currently have 20# of Argonite in my fuge. My friend gave me about 10# of gray coast calcite. Would it be okay if I put that on top of my argonite or should I just leave it out? :silly:

What about mixing crushed coral and sand?

Again, the ocean floor is not one type of medium. it is a combination of argonite, coral, sand, and alot of other stuff... I dont see any problem with that at all... I would wait for one of the more experienced people on here to chime in, but I think you will be fine mixing any types of substrate... The only thing you really need to worry about is cleaning it... I choose argonite over sand because sand seems to be very difficult to clean
