I'm planning on having some plants in my tank and was wondering if I could start cycling now and add plants in as I cycle or is it better to wait until it's done? Or should I wait to cycle my tank until I have plants? Sorry if this is confusing!
Thank you!

You can do it anyway that you want. Plants help by absorbing some of the ammonia and nitrates directly, so in some ways they can help with decreasing cycle time. On the other hand if you really want to get the cycling done and then get all your fish in, it is ok to do it that way as well.

I plant right away, so I can make a mess and move things around without disturbing fish. My tanks cycle faster, esp since I plant heavily, mine sometimes have a Silent Cycle.
