Do I need to remove the molt from the tank? Will it hurt anything? Some research indicates i should take it out because of "iodine" and then other dictates that it doesn't hurt anything if I leave it in.

How often will he molt? Anything special I need to know about the process?

Nope, when it molts, the molt just dissolves and all the materials used to make the molt go back into the water column. My cleaner shrimp molts every 20-30 days.

I leave mine, my clean up crew does their thing.
Iodine/iodide are used by the shrimp to promote healthy molts.
