carpet not turning green

i have had my carpet for about 6 months all my water conditions are percect salinity perfect also i have a t5 ho light just replace bulbs 2 months ago i use iodine and essentail elements at the time of the pics i was feeding him just krill not a good idea didnt know so i started feeding him table shrimp and brine cubes twice a week he has gotten alot bigger and a little bit greener i just wanted to know is there any other chem i should be putting in there for him or feeding him something diffrent thanks

I think light and water movement are the trick. I have about 16" haden's carpet that has maintained his color with good light and a diet of raw shrimp. I feed him every 4 or 5 days. Good luck.
 
stop using iodine and essential elements and do some water changes to remove all that you put in. how many lamps are in your fixture?
