Cascade 1000 cleaning

I use pillow floss along side matrix. My o rings giving out so I dont like opening it much cuz when I close it its hard to get it to stop leaking. How often do I need to clean the filter and pit new floss in?

Try a silicone base lubricant on the o-rings after you clean the filter or order new ring kit.

As far as cleaning, every 3 months is what I do. I don't have that brand of canister filter but, I do weekly 50% water changes.

if you can remove it and take it to a hardware store
they most likely can match it up with a new one out of the plumbing section
and probably a lot cheaper than buying it direct from the factory
