Hi all: The title says it all. Should I change actinics on the same 6 month schedule as the 10,000K/6,700K daylights? :?:

Do they shift spectrum as they get older causing algae outbreaks?

I have 21" 65W PC's.

Thanks in advance.

I would change them at the same time. Yes they change spetrum.

Thanks, thought so.

I just beat cyano, and I don't want to give it any reason to come back.

.

Yes and yes. I change mine every 6 months like clockwork.

For the sake of simplicity, I would do it all at once. However, if you stager your start times, you may get longer life out of your 10ks then your actinics. Maybe consider a 6mo and 9mo schedule. Bulbs are expensive.
