Was fooling around with my chemicals when I mixed my Trace mix with some 3% H2O2. Something interesting occurred:

Upon adding H2O2 the solution foamed a lot (assuming this was O2 gas) and after stopped foaming the solution went from yellowish to a dark brown. The reaction was also very exothermic. I'm assuming what happened was a break down of the organic chelators by H2O2 and a rapid oxidation of the metals. But here's where it gets interesting. I added some phosphate to it (neutral regulator by seachem) which precips out most metals. The solution also foamed and went from dark brown to a milky yellow it was also exothermic and fizzed. It's still fizzing on my desk in a graduated cylinder (hoping it doesn't leave deposits lol). What happened?
