Cloudy water after 75% water change help?

I changed the substrate in my tank to sand yesterday and its now a lot less cloudy than it was because the sand has settled. I did a 50% change again today which has cleared it up a bit more. The levels in the tank are -
Ammonia - 0.25pm
Nitrite -2.0ppm
pH - 7.5 (I think)

Is this freshwater or salt

None of the links work, but if you have 2ppm, of nitrite, you need to change more, like all of it.

Did you wash sand out thoroughly first. Fish should be alright to put in their not as sensitive as what a lot of people think

Maybe your tank has gone into a mini cycle. Gravel does contain bb and you have removed all if it just a thought

Ha ha I know, that must be some pretty good gravel then

If you have a lot of fish then I think it might be a bacteria bloom, it will go cloudy again then after a few days it will go clear
