why is my water cloudy? how can i clear it up?

Im guessing it's a new tank and not cycled yet. If so it's normal to have a algae bloom like that . Just do regular water changes and it will eventually go away on it's own.

Cloudy Tank Water

Hello New...

If your tank is newly cycled, it will take some time for the water conditions to become established.

I can tell you what worked for me. I set up a supplemental HOB power filter and put only polyfiber media in the filter. Polyfiber is very good for sifting out the small particles of plant and fish material.

I changed the media every few days and ran the filter until the water cleared.

:) ty all, yes its newly cycled and i just added fish

It's a bacterial bloom. Once your beneficial bacteria adjusts to the new bioload, it will clear right up. (y)
