Convict cichlid?

i just had a convict die in my quarantine tank and i didnt even know what it had .....when i moved it to the quarantine he was smimming around on the gravel and draggin him self around with his gills other than that there was nothing wroung no fungus pop eye and he was one of the more dominite ones so i dont think he was being bullied near the time of his death he was laying on his side breathing deaply and to get around he literally had to fling him self up then drag




alllt he other fish in the tank are normal

What are the parameters of the quarantine tank? Was the quarantine cycled prior to adding fish?
