Cooler Lights?

I have a 5 gallon marineland Hex tank. The bulb in it is only a 15 watt compact fluorescent. It gets pretty hot and heats up the water. Is there any kind of bulb that runs cooler. My bulb seems to heat up the tank to 83 degrees after 8 hours with no heater on.

An led light would give off almost no heat. A t5 bulb would give off less heat then the power compact but you would need another fixture. Check out "cheap led solution" in the general hardware section
