What would happen if a very small amount of dead coraline was placed in a freshwater tank?
P.S. I ask this because I got a whole bunch of supplies from a guy on Craigslist. When I went to pick the stuff up, I realized the supplies were used for a saltwater tank, and were covered in long-dead coraline. I actually scrubbed most of it off, but I absolutely could not get the coraline that had grown in the nooks and crannies of the supplies. So I was wondering if a very small amount of coraline would release ammonia, mess with my pH, etc.
