I bought a live rock from a local fish store while back didn't notice much on it but as I added good lighting I started seeing more things growing from the rock I'm not sure what they are... Can some one please help me
they are actually animals that are made of different types of cells that build a structure like the one you see. They feed by filtering particles out of the water by sucking water in through tiny pores (Ostia) and then after they have eaten the particles they push the water out through the big holes (osculum) which are the ones that you can see. Sorry I am not knowledgable about saltwater tanks, but I am currently taking a marine biology class
