I'm building a new house and am going to put a tank between my hallway and kitchen are I've attached a photo for reference. I need a tank of the following dimensions 1490 long 1100 high and 560 deep. I've been quoted Cray prices and companies are telling me different things when it comes to glass thickness and double bases ect..
I'm thinking of building it myself.
Is 15mm adequate or do I need to use 19mm glass?
It will be on a solid concrete base. Do I need a double base?
I was thinking of using 1mm spacers between the glass and injecting the silicone between to join is this the correct way?
Also I'm getting the glass from a local supplier. Is ordinary glass ok or do I need to go with the opti white glass that I've read about.
