Being a new "fish mom," I'm confident this site will be visited often.
I've had Rudy the Red Rose Betta for a little over a week now.
In reality, I purchased him because I felt sorry for him living in that tiny, dirty cup at Wal-Mart.
Who knew a $5.95 mini fish would end up as a $150.00 investment? (Tank, filter, water conditioning supplies, meds ((in case of emergency)), tank toys...yada, yada..)
No regrets, though. He's thriving...playful, social, full of personality.
He's decided to abandon his hammock when he needs a rest, and sleep next to the water intake. Pretty smart...an effortless way to relax without being jiggled about by the water current.
Hopefully, I'll learn to be a terrific caretaker of this sweet little creature
