Well day 10 of cycling and I really have a algae problem, it started about 3 days ago and now it's all over the tank, rocks and powerheads, any help would be great

Specific gravity 1.028
Temperature 26.9
Ph 8.1
Alkalinity 11dkh
Ammonia 0.25
Nitrite 3ppm
Nitrate 5-10ppm
Phosphate 0-0.25
Calcium 490ppm

Should I do anything?

Exactly right, add some freshwater.

That was the only thing I was looking at, I'm not very knowledgable on the specifics like calc, phos, etc. I just know that it looks like your cycle is coming along well.

Shouldn't be too long, ammonia is dropping and the trites will soon follow. The algae your seeing is probably diatoms which is what you'll definitely see during cycling/in newer tanks

Yeh I'm really happy with how it's coming on, just a bit worried about the brown stuff but I'm sure it will disappear!!! Just invested in a temperature control unit, with 4 fans so hopefully the tank won't vary in temperature so much. :) thanks for the advice

during my cycle i just left off my lights and i never got the brown diatoms i dunno if that will help you

Leaving the lights off during cycling is always a good idea. There is ton of organics in the water during the cycle and adding light will just fuel algae.
