So i have this little bugger, who likes to dig into the substrate and chill is this a normal thing? Why do they do it if it is? He doesn't move from that spot and he wonders around the rest of the time i see him, but when he finds a place to sit hes there for a while

I believe that's a Nerite snail and they are diggers. They love feasting on algae

I've never had one before but my Golden Mystery Snail would rest for hours in one spot and never move. He's probably just taking a break and catching some zzz's.

Every snail invasion I've had, the snails buried themselves in the gravel during the day then roamed the tank at night. I think the snails dig to hide from predatory fish.
