(Velcro sells round dots a little smaller in diameter than a dime). You could put a velcro dot on back of the little LCD thermometer and affix it directly to the tank or stand.
But if that doesn't seem good or attractive, you can make the display stand up to see it across the room by dot velcroing it to a 'pocket watch display stand'. These can be quite cheap on eBay. Velcro bottom of the stand to the desk or shelf or whatever (so it won't fall over) and then velcro the thermometer to the stand.
I can be watching TV and from the couch across the room see what the Python water changer refill temperature is doing to the tank temperature. Thermometer is right by the tank, couch is 12 feet away, I can still see it that far away with the thermometer facing me.
