Yes, they are just triops I think. They sell them like sea monkeys since they can live as eggs for a long time.

Where my wife works they have a couple tanks of Triops. They have raised umpteen generations of them, but I have no idea why. They don't interest me in the slightest.

Never had any before, but I've heard of them, but not as Dinosaur Shrimp.

My boy has raised them from the eggs.. by a brand name "aquasaurs"
many stoeres around here sell the "kits"

they hatch in a few days , are simple to set up, feed and care for ,
normally come with a lil "betta like" liter tank?

probably raising sea monkeys or aquasaurs has generated interest in a lot of kids to go further into the aquarium hobby?
