I have just got a second hand 40 g tank and it's gravel is really dirty does anyone know how to clean it!?

Either a pasta strainer or replace it with sand would be my two choices.

Brush cleaning, H2O2 bath.
I already did it with javel but it's sooooooo looongggg to dechlorinate after... Need dechlorinator to remove bleach agent.
