it seems in that design the CO2 is going to the main tank..

you want to inject the CO2 into the Recirc. pumps loop.. the amount of CO2 is normaly regulated by the PH of the loop's effluent (liquid) I cant remember the exact nuber but its around 7.?..

this approch is used alot for SPS tanks (large ones in particular).. neilson reactors are more simple so some take that route..
