See now we are gettin off topic. This is about fish emotions not mammals. To counter the clownfish see the anemone as a friend thing. There are tons of commensal relationships where an animal brings a gift. Look at many insects, the male brings the female a nuptial gift so he can mate with her. The clown is bringing food since the nem protects the clown.
Does our fish have emotions???
