Dojo Floater

My Dojo Loach has been faking death by floating slowly to top of the tank. Once there he either lays on top of a fake plant or circles himself aroun thermometer. Is this okay or is he sick now he only goes to bottom to feed.

If he's eating that's usually a good sign but I agree the behavior sounds strange. What are the current water parameters like? Is there any other strange behavior like swimmimg disorders or any other weird behavio?

never had a dojo but i had a clown loach that would play dead all the time , there goofy little fish

Ph is 6 ammonia is super low temperature goes from 77 to 79 i have a heater in the tank.
