I got a nice piece of oak I'd like to use...check it out!!!

So I've washed it and scrubbed it....poured boiling water over it again and again.....soaked it and changed the water about 4 times once it got so dark that u could barely see thru it...what else do I need to do to prepare It for my tank?

Nothing. Sound like its good to go. It might need weighing down until it waterlogged but you can do that in the tank.

How much color is usually in a log about 30" by like 5"? I've done a lot of boiling of the water and pouring It over the log. Their is a ton of color that is in the log. How do I get it out faster??? Or do I just have to b patient?

Would I be able to use oak? My wood-working dad told me oak usually contains toxins poisonous to humans. Will this effect the fish!?

Treated oak like what you get from a lumber yard will.
