Dwarf puffers

Do dwarf puffers need to be fed snails or will frozen bloodworms suffice

I think they need snails to chew on their shells to keep their teeth from getting too long..

I was going to get one last year so I did some research...

You can use small snails from the LFS, most will give them to you for free as they don't want them anyway or you can feed frozen brin shrimp,my wife had one but died after 1 week... Hard to feed and I believe it had internal parasites.

Getting another but will be upgrading tank to 10 gallon with ALOT of plants and hiding places.

Contrary to the belief, Peas don't get overgrown teeth. Feed them live worms if possible. Snails are easy to get and breed. Both types of food source are packed with good vitamins.

Frozen blood worms are not very nutritious, but they are a nice treat.

Let me know if you ever hear a DP owner having overgrown teeth problems.
