I`ve never had any dwarf seahorses but I had the regular size ones. I had a heater but hardly used it as they need somewhat cooler water temps. Info I recieved from various seahorse sites said the water needed to be around 72-74 degrees. I had one of those canvass sewing boards around my heater so they would not wrap their tales around it and get burnt. I also had my power head in there so they would not get sucked in. I finally gave up after a yr because they would feep getting a bacterial infection. Here is a setup of my seahorse tank when I had it. Again they were not dwarfs but I thought this might help a little.
