So recently i set up a tank just sand and i was wondering could i grow vallisneria spirals and amazon sword with root tabs. I have low to medium light and fish in there are quite peacfull

Those plants are pretty hardy, so they should do well with root tabs. The swords would especially need them. Liquid micro and macro nutrients, along with a carbon additive would aid in growth as well. How large is your tank? Amazon Swords get huge. If you have a tank under 60 or so gallons, I have a few Echinodorus species that I can recommend.
 
Some great plants for your would be,
Anubias of all types (don't bury the base)
Java ferns of all varietys (best tied to wood or rocks)
Bacopa (stem plant)
Amazon swords
Dwarf sag (carpet plant)
Crypts of all varietys (also like root tabs)
Mosses (great for rocks or DW)
