Eel species?

Can anyone tell me what the name of this eel? I lost the name.

Thats a rope fish. Cool lookin, can get just under 3 ft long

Thanks nu-nu. I got it and the name was on a piece of paper which I then lost. He is one I the best fish I own. He is real interesting to watch and a entertaining.

Nu-nu is right, he is a rope fish. Their actual name is Erpetoichthys calabaricus, but they are also called reedfish or snakefish but rope fish is more commonly used in the US.

Lol those fish are epic. They look evil but there really not, and only need a 50 gallon tank. You would think a 3 ft fish would need at least a 75. I guess it woul be best to have him in a bigger tank
