sounds fine, the nitrates are lower cause of the PWC, almost sounds like lint in the water... like when I first introduced water the towel lint was really bad.... as long as you didnt rinse in chlorinated water sounds like everything will be ok....

I tested again just now and the no3 reading was darker, but not quite back up to 5.0. .(whew) Maybe everything will be back to normal tomorrow. I want to get a school of cory's this weekend.

Corys do best when placed in established tanks. You might want to give it at the very least an extra week to be sure all your params are stable.
