Favia problem? Am i on trouble

Favia coral 3 weeks old in 16 month old tank

1 koralia nano

2 clowns 8 months old
2 plate corals seemingly healthy 2 weeks old
2 Zoa colonies growing and expanding 4 weeks old
1 torch coral fully extended 4 weeks old

The favia had 2 heads that were green when I purchased it...reputable shop well known for quality. I figured it was due to frag as these corals just came in shipment day before.

Is this recession going to continue as it seems another portion in top right is receding.

That is a blastomussa, did you light acclimate it to the halides? What are your nitrates and phosphates reading? It does not appear to have been recently cut IMO.

Just saw your phosphates are kinda high, that is probably contributing plus it may be getting to much flow. All other questions still apply though.

No I did not acclimate. Did tell owner I had hqi with hall uses and he suggested favia as I said I wanted something for mid tank . Should there have been light acclimation process?

Should I move this down to tank bottom...ie maybe in a few pieces of rock on substrate?

Just feed it a sweeper tentacles are out like crazy

I have always kept brain corals on the sandbed, and if it is a blastomussa then that should also be on the sandbed in my experience.

It could just be the two heads as they were on their way out when you got it, but the rest of the colony looks plump and happy at least.

It has many sweeper tentacles...does that not mean I is a favia?
