favorite snails?

I've gotten a few pond snails from some plants I ordered. I presume I will have more soon.

Is there a consensus on the best snail to have as a "clean up crew" and what can you tell me about pond snails?

Otos, amano shrimp, and nerite snails are my personal favorites for "clean up crews". Effective and fun to watch.

Pond snails have a tendency to explode in population in my tank since I have to feed a bit more heavily than most due to some of my more shy fish getting out competed for food otherwise. Thankfully my loaches and assassin snails have kept them under control lately, but now I have too many assassins... At least my LFS will pay to take them off my hands though
