feather duster

Just aquired a feather duster. It's been in the tank for 3 days but seems to be very shy... Tends to come out from it's tube slightly at night for a few seconds and then sucks itself back in. At the store the duster was fully out of the tube strutting it's plume. Why is it not displaying itself now?

give it some time, mine did that and the longer they are in there the more they stay out.

what do your water parameters look like (in numbers)?

I dont remember the numbers but I checked all last night and everything was well within range.

I did have the duster mid level in the rock and did move it to the sand bed last night. thinking the first location was no liked by the duster...

It does not need much light so the bottom is fine. Make sure it has some water movement because it's a filterfeeder. It should open soon.

Ok thank's, plenty of water movement with 2 ph's and a wave box. Just a lil' jumpy I guess after losing everything when tank crashed last year.
