OK, new question (only about 100 more to go.... ). Do you guys turn off your powerheads, etc., at feeding time? It seems difficult to monitor the feeding with all of that current in the tank.
I use the Red Sea Wavemaster for my 3 PHs. Love the alternating current, 8 hr nitetime mode (calmer waters), and the feeding button. Whe I'm ready to feed< i just hit that button and all the PHs stop for I think 10 minutes. Of course, there's still the main return flow, but stopping all helps the fish feed in a less frenzied manner.
And my corals seem to do well in the alternating flow it provides too.
What are you doing up so early thinking abut fish?
I get up at 5:30 to leave for work at 6:20- my first class is 7:32 (I'm a high school teacher), and although my students don't all share this view, I like to be wide awake for class!!
