Hello! How often should hob filters be cleaned? Canisters? Thank you!

It really depends on the stock and substrate you have. I have Fluval Stratum in my 15g planted and I have to change out the filter floss in the HOB every week. I remove the media every 2/3wks and use a turkey baster to remove any debris in the filter chamber(s). I strip it down every 2mths or so and give it a good scrub.
My canister, I clean the media every month and strip it down every 3mths.
I clean all the media in used or dechlorinated water.....
