One of my bigalsonline orders came in and with it came my 10sq ft of filter floss. Now just to make sure, I just cut out the size I need and place it in the filter right? No need to pre-soak it in dechlorinated water?
When do I change it? When it becomes close to filthy?

TIA

Yep, just cut a piece and drop it in.
Filter floss can get clogged up rather fast so keep an eye on it.
It seems to sometimes break down and little bits were floating in my tank.

I'd change it once a week - many go longer but you'll see how it looks after 7 days and decide.
