Filter water ph to low

I have a muti pure filter for my tank. The waters ph is 7.4 compare to the regular faucet water which is 8.0 is that normal . I have been buffing the water from the filter, but I have to put alot of buffer , can that hurt my fish

The synthetic sea salt should naturally buffer the water. You should not buffer the water before you mix in the salt. If it is still low after the salt has been mixed and aged for atleast 24 hours, then you can consider a buffer.
