Filtered mefia reuse?

If I had a cycled tank could I use the media and maybe bag it for a little while then reuse it for a uncycled tank? If that makes sense?

If you use it right away you could. That would really help the cycling process.

Honestly I have no clue. I would day just a couple of days. When I started up my latest tank I left the media in the filter of my established tank until I was ready to use it. Is that an option?

Also the bb requires oxygen to live so bagging it as you say would only work on a short term basis.
