Finally a Cool Hitchhiker....Abalone???

Tank up for over a month and saw this guy today. GREAT camo. I could hardly find him again knowing exactly where he was. About 1/2" long. Looks like a snail with a turtle shell on top. Surprisingly speedy crawler. Small abalone????

I enjoy him too. It's been a big week for my tank....it's really coming to life. Along with this fellow, I had some asternia stars, a teeny emerald crab, and big peanut worm pop up. The free surprise life in SW tanks is as much fun as the expensive stuff

I'm glad I only did a 28 gallon tank. With the amount of time I spend scouring my tank for life, I can't imagine having a big tank with 100's of pounds of LR to search. Although I'll probably give it a shot down the road anyways

You should take a peek in your tank about an hour or two after lights, use a red lens on your flashlight....
