Finding Limestone?!?

Hey guys and gals,

How easy is it to find limestone in aquarium shops? I went to 3 already this morning and I can't find any. I want to add it to my tank to bring the PH up to 7.8ish. The only think I could find was crushed coral and it was expensive because I would have to buy it in a huge bag (that I would never use).

Try going to a rock farm. (place where rock is sold) They will probably have a pile of broken pieces of rock that they will sell cheap. I got the rocks for my 55 gallon tank at 35 cents a lb. Compared to $1.99 per at the fish stores. Same stuff but a lot cheaper. They will also have more selection for color.

And watch for coloration like reds I would avoid those peices (Fe content). I would stick to light grey.
