Firebelly newts!

Hey guys! I just got two new firebelly newts to put in my old 10g. I need some advice on what plants to get and some inspiration. Right now I'm using stock filter and hood. The filter is now a water fall but I'd like to hide it more with a big plant of some type.

Also, I just came home from getting my newts and realized the one my LFS gave me was missing a leg! Is it true they grow back???

Need advice on feeding too. Got some blackworms but I know they need variety. How often and what do they need?

I'm actually realizing what might have happened is the bigger newt ate the leg of the smaller when they were in the small carry home bag. If this was the case will he try it again?? Or was this probably just due to stress. By bigger I mean fatter. They are the same length
