The common zebra fish does not have red colouration. There are fish that are artificially dyed. Do not buy them and folk won't buy them.... it vastly reduces the lifespan of the fish... and danios don't live that long as it is!

I'm not aware of dyed zebra danios... there are multiple selective strains with various colorations and even genetically modified (much different process than dyeing) glofish, but I don't think any of that applies to this fish.
