Not sure I did this pic right, but.... my danio (glofish) as he is growing seems more and more deformed, like his back is broken. He seems to get around ok though. Is this unusual? All the others seem fine.
Unfortunately there is no cure for this. Once the fish has it, it is too late typically. Be extremely careful when working in the tank or removing the fish. It can potentially be transferred to humans through open wounds. I'd suggest wearing gloves and remove the fish to a QT.
I dont have a a QT tank. Only choice at this point would be euthanasia. He shows no other symptoms so far, still eating, swimming, etc. no bloating or lesions that I can see. Should I be better safe than sorry? If so, best way to euthanize if I do not have clove oil.
yup vodka is the next thing, pour it right into the gills to make it as quick as possible. i would ask friends or family if they have clove oil first since its the most humane
