How do we know if the fish we put into our healthy fishless cycled tank are even healthy? After all we dont know if the pet store or their suppliers fishless cycled their tanks?

A lot of people on this site quarantine their fish for a few weeks or a month before adding them to their tanks

I regularly visited the store from which I intended to purchase my fish. I chose three shops to start, looked them all over pretty intently and then once I selected a store, I was there at least once a week, drooling over fish, but also keeping a sharp eye on their tanks. So far, everything I brought home is alive and seemingly content in their new digs.

Interestingly enough, the one fish I felt needed QT was not in the system water but a betta in a bowl. He's got another week of QT before I even think of putting him in with the others.
