I recently inherited a 20 gallon tank and never knew what to do with it. Well my red jewls in my community tank decided to breed and take up half of it not letting any other of my cichlids come a cross the border. I decided to set up the 20 as a grow out tank for the jewl fry and set it up. I switched the filters from the new 20 and another established 29 I have.. my question is when will I be able to move the jewls over to the 20? I haven't put any chemicals in it except seachem prime when I set it up.

If you have a well established filter in the tank it's ready to go. You can add the fish when you add the filter providing the waters up to temp. Make sure to watch for a mini cycle in the next week or so.
