FloraPride From Tetra Good?

I just redecorated my aquarium today with some live plants and a 10 watt compact fluorescent bulb. The tank is only 2.5 gallon with a betta in it. I really enjoy my plants and want to keep them green and alive. Is FloraPride good for that? It has 3% soluble potash (K20) and .19% water soluble Iron. I don't want algae so I'm just dosing 1/4 teaspoon a month or per water changes.

What other brands of liquid fertilizers do you recommend?

its just potassium and iron. most low light set ups dont need to add any ferts anyways.
