Had to put my gar in another tank. From a 125 gal. To a 90 gal. By himself now ... My redtail was getting to big for him to be a tankmate .. thought he might end up being dinner.. ever since I moved him (3 to 4 weeks ago) he has not eat. He used to eat out of my hand. Now he has these white stringy things hanging all over him .. coming out of gills and scales. Tried to get pictures but u can't see in the pictures.. temperature was raised tp 80 degrees and perimeters r fine. Any recommendations on what to do?

Does it look like this? They are anchor worms.

or external parasite. Do they have movement of their own or just go with the flow?
I would treat for parasites. Jungle has a parasite treatment. Seachem has paraguard.
